Around RowHouse this week...

Thanks for being here.   Have a great week!

This next menu and the one after are based on my first year of RowHouse.   I wanted Amanda and Anna to put their twist on them, taking into account where I was 8 years ago, and where we as a restaurant are now.  It was nostalgic and emotional looking back, but it has all been so fun.  It's encouraging to see that the vision is still evolving and the love is still getting stirred into each and every dish.

I can't wait!

Thanks for being here.   Have a great week!

So as we begin year 8, I thought I'd share some pictures of the journey this far.  Top picture is the first crew of boys.  What a crew somehow and I'm not sure how we figured things out and worked like a team.  Next picture is Bret and John, our first step in a new direction.  More cooks in the kitchen and a bit more experienced but still green green green.  Last picture is myself and Aunt Hap who babysat me as a child and I guess still is.  For 7 years she has been our volunteer Thursday night dishwasher, filling us with who wisdom and good humor.  She's been a rock for us all and we love her to pieces.  We made her sit down last Thursday night and have dinner, while with each course a different one of the crew sat and joined her.  I think she liked it, but she probably won't admit to it.

This next menu is my favorites from year one.  Things that defined me as a cook and really started RowHouse moving in a direction.  It should be fun seeing them done by a grown up restaurant.

When making reservations please know the house has three levels and many unique dining rooms. The main floor is handicap accessible, but the top floor and garden level do have stairs. We try to honor table and floor request but are not always able to do so because of limited space for large groups. If you have a specific table or room you'd like, please let us know when making your reservation and we will do our best to make it happen. We are contantly looking for ways to make your evening with us even better.  One of us is on staff at RowHouse Wednesday through Saturday from 2 pm to Close.  We return calls Wednesday through Saturday in the order received.

We have a lovely winelist, Premium Liquors, awesome cocktails, and great beers.   Wine and Alcohol cannot be brought in to the restaurant as of April 1, 2011
