Around RowHouse this week...

August approaches and it officially marks 10 years since this old house found me.   We have grown together and like any relationship it has ebbed and flowed like the tide.  Faces have changed around here, but these walls that I work in everyday have remained strong and true.  They have watched our highs and lows and always looked out for us.  I really can't explain well enough how much I love this place, this building.  I hope you feel it's life when you are in it the way that we who work here do.  We actually speak of the house as a member of our crew, and always as the most reliable one.  My intention from the beginning was to make sure this was a place with strong roots, so that I could bring through people who would use this as a stepping stone to grow.  It's tough to watch these young people who work here move on, just like parents and teachers, but that's what they have to do and I always know that RowHouse leaves a permanent mark on their life.  It's a home away from home, and as we start a new decade having some of the "kids" come home and show you and me what's become of them is very gratifying and exciting.  The life of every restaurant has to evolve with time, it has a life cycle just like everything.  I am so appreciative of all of you who support us here and embrace the differences about this restaurant that make it like no other.

Next week's we have a guest chef.  Nikki Fiedler the director of the culinary program at Washburn Tech joins us.  Nikki got her start in the RowHouse kitchen and has continued to play a valuable, reliable, and creative role with us, even as she has ventured out into a new career.  Nikki is an awesome teacher and I'm excited to let her steer the ship and the crew.  Her menus stay rooted in familiar territory, while maintaining a lot of energy and life.  And of course she is a "light" to be around.  Please come around next week to see her in action.  We will be excited to carry out her plan.

Thanks for being here!

Please check our Summer  Vacation and Holiday hours listed on the "About Us" page of this website

When making reservations please know the house has three levels and many unique dining rooms. The main floor is handicap accessible, but the top floor and garden level do have stairs. We try to honor table and floor request but are not always able to do so because of limited space for large groups. If you have a specific table or room you'd like, please let us know when making your reservation and we will do our best to make it happen. We are contantly looking for ways to make your evening with us even better.  One of us is on staff at RowHouse Wednesday through Saturday from 2 pm to Close.  We return calls Wednesday through Saturday in the order received.

We have a lovely winelist, Premium Liquors, awesome cocktails, and great beers.
Wine and Alcohol cannot be brought in to the restaurant as of April 1, 2011
