Welcome to RowHouse!

This Week Sep 1—11, 2010…

I am always totally unprepared for summer to be over. It seems there is so much left to do before Fall starts, but such is life...if I could only learn to slow down.

Adam was a huge help with this menu. I love all the fresh ideas he brings in from school. The salad is based on a traditional Italian bread salad, and the tomatoes outback are finally popping so it seemed a good fit. Carrot Soup with a hint of Ginger, then topped with Pea-nuts and a Parsley and Red Pepper Butter. Roasted Veggies, the best I can find this week, with Orzo and Asiago Cheese. Both entrees are tied to the same sauce, an approach I haven’t done in a while, but Adam was keen on the idea. I think they will both be lovely. Labor day tastes for dessert. Chocolate Cream Pie, an Upside down peach Cake with Champagne, and finally Sorbet of Pink Lemonade (Campari is the pink) with a touch of Basil.

Have a great week.

Thanks for being here.
