This Week at RowHouse

The new cookbook from RowHouse, OutThere on sale now

July 12, 2019

Book Event Saturday July 13th 1-3pm, Baking Traditions in Gage Village. Get your copy of Out There and have a snack while looking over delicious baked goodies. Greg will be on hand for questions and signing your book. We’d love to see you.

4th of July really marks Summer for me. The heat finally kicks in, the lakes are over-flowing, and everybody has shaken the adjustment phase to long days and chilling out. I also love the way we Americans eat this time of year. Watermelon, Beer, Hot dogs, coleslaw and gardens are just beginning to produce. It’s easy…celebratory. Summer doesn’t have the fuss of other holidays. There is no pressure to buy things no outfits to worry about, just a favorite T, a pair of cut-offs and an assortment of flip flops or simply bare feet. I’m a bare foot guy. I believe feet in contact with the grass and dirt give us balance from the roots up and connection with water really tames the fire in all of us. Somehow this Summer feels like I’m finally letting go of holding on to the new year and just seeing how it plays out. We’ve been busy here but these next few weeks we are chilling out, making fun and whimsical food and working to not take ourselves too seriously. Come see us. Have a sit in the shade of our tree in the garden. Enjoy Summer!    -g

If you’re interested we have updated our events for the year 2019. Included are First Friday GardenParty dates, our Third Tuesday Cooking Classes, and more! We love every time we see you!

Peace and Love,

OUR HOUSE

OUR HOUSE

Welcome, friends

RowHouse Restaurant opened its doors in 2007 with a simple idea—to grow and spread love by bringing a fresh and inspired dining experience to Kansans and visitors alike.

Steps from the Kansas State Capitol Grounds, the once dilapidated historic site at 515 Van Buren St. was transformed by Owner and Chef, Greg Fox, into a fine dining venue. Greg is a native Kansan who is inspired by his roots. He draws from being raised in a family of cooks and bakersalong with his culinary experience in New York City and Nashvilleto bring something unexpected, yet familiar, to the table. He and the RowHouse crew serve up dishes made with equal measures of love and finesse—and you can taste it.

The Evening prix-fixe "tasting" menu is seasonally driven and changes weekly, it's also available a la carte and able to be tailored around your time and budget.   Many of the menu items are made with local ingredients—often from the RowHouse garden. RowHouse strives to create a welcoming experience that cherishes its history and deliciously evolves. We invite you to join us!

Beginning November of 2017, RowHouse introduces Lunch, Monday Thru Friday, Seating anytime after 11am and until 2pm.  Our Lunch menu is posted in our Menus section of the website, under Explore other menus.   We hope to bring you an uncommon, enlightened, and deliciously unparalleled lunch experience.  The menu adjust seasonally, but remains mostly intact.  We hope to become the place you go twice a week for lunch.
